Wild hippo often cause damage to farmlands adjacent to national parks. Here hippo tracks in the water can clearly be seen next to the tracks of a tractor working in a maize field in an agricultural area

The capture of wild hippo is an extremely difficult and labor-intensive exercise. Here the size of the capture enclosures can be seen in relation to a human

The capture cage is built out of 3m steel walls, which leads to a narrow tunnel providing sliding doors

The magnitude of the entire operation shown in relation to the trucks and vehicles

After three weeks of building this capture enclosure the hippo were successfully captured and still broke the steel enclosure and fled back to the water

The destruction of some individuals are inevitable in this case a male hippo was shot due to the continuous raiding of farming crops in agricultural areas. After a three-month operation three hippos were successfully captured and relocated to Tangala
