Game Drives:

• Calving and lambing season (lots of young animals)
• Lots of bird species (all the summer migrants are here - approximately 300 species) - Good bird viewing
• Dams are full of bird life
• Trees are in flower
• Interesting sightings: Dung Beetles rolling balls of dung, Foam nest frogs building foam nests, Giant Land Snails and Fireflies.
• Animals gather in larger groups

• Hot to very hot and humid
• Lots of insects

Game Drives:

• Long grass and leaf cover limits visibility
• Game spread throughout the reserve - need to travel further to find them
• It may rain during your game drive
• Vehicle may get stuck in the muddy road
